In a completely different way than anything I had written before, this song simply came to me in a dark night.
Like a little bird to its nest, it flew directly into my heart. It’s about looking inward, something we’ve all been
more or less forced to do lately. Reviewing our transformation so far, sifting through what we need to keep and
nurture and what we will have to discard even though it might scare us. Musically it goes back to my roots of
pop and jazz, which mirrors perfectly how much it reminds me of things inside of me that I had almost
forgotten about. There’s never been a time in my life when the world was so still. And oh how much we’ve
needed to be still. To have no choice but to tend to our wounds, to learn from them and remember that we are
dreamers at heart, full of hope and possibilities. May it soothe and uplift you.
